Zach has been in place since 2008 at TCU and is the current Assistant Athletic Director of Sports Performance. He oversees the development of Baseball. Alongside those priorities he also handles the development and implementation of the TCU Sports Performance Internship Program that has been in place for over 15 years. Over that time the internship program has encompassed 40+ semesters and 250+ intern coaches that have moved on to all levels of professional, collegiate, high school, and private strength and conditioning.
During baseball off-seasons, Coach Dechant trains a group of 30+ current MLB / MiLB Frogs. The pro Frogs spend 4 months back on campus training for the upcoming season.
Previous experience at TCU has included two seasons with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, two years at Missouri State University, as well as time spent with the University of Washington as an intern.

Gerry DeFilippo serves as head trainer and owns and operates Challenger Strength in Wayne, NJ, while also serving as the strength coach for multiple teams and organizations across New Jersey such as the Jersey Hitmen and Caldwell University and New Jersey City University Baseball teams. In addition to these teams, Gerry also head the training 100+ private clients and athletes at Challenger Strength.
After completing a business degree at Rutgers University, Gerry founded Challenger Strength in 2016. He has since worked with over 100 college bound, college and professional athletes across multiple sports, while growing Challenger Strength into one of the most popular sports performance companies in New Jersey. In addition, he has had numerous articles published on EliteFTS and Muscle and Strength. He has also served as an advisor to New York Yankees' Player Development. He specializes in getting athletes bigger, stronger and faster with a blend of strength and speed training.

Dr. John P. Wagle is the Director, Performance Science / Player Development for the Kansas City Royals. During the 2019 season, he served as the Minor League Strength & Conditioning Coordinator. Before joining the Royals, he provided support in strength and conditioning and sport science to university and U.S Olympic Training Site athletes while a doctoral fellow in the Sport Physiology & Performance program at East Tennessee State University. Prior to the opportunity to join ETSU, Wagle was the Director of Sports Performance at DePaul University, overseeing all aspects of the department while working with men’s basketball, women’s softball, and men’s tennis. He has been a published author, invited speaker, and consultant on several topics, including training theory, athlete monitoring, and accentuated eccentric loading. Wagle received his M.S. in exercise science from Western Illinois University and completed his undergraduate work at Augustana College (IL), majoring in physics and business management. He also holds two graduate degrees in business administration from Loyola University (MBA) and North Park University (MNA). As an athlete, Wagle was an All-American infielder at Augustana College and played two seasons of minor league baseball following his collegiate career.

Jeremy McMillan
Jeremy McMillan enters his 11th season on the staff as the Aggies embark on the 2022 campaign. His responsibility at A&M is to build a strength and conditioning program that addresses the specific characteristics of the game of baseball. McMillan’s program focuses on a combination of both strength and power development with an emphasis on developing explosive strength, power, speed, and rotational ability.
McMillan’s efforts have helped players advance in their baseball careers. While at Texas A&M, McMillan has mentored eight Major Leaguers, including Ryan Hendrix, Corbin Martin, Kyle Martin, Daniel Mengden, A.J. Minter, Tyler Naquin, Ross Stripling and Michael Wacha. He helped develop 13 players who were selected in the 2016 Major League Baseball Draft, the most in school history. At least three player have been drafted in every year of his tenure and he boasts 15 pitchers selected in the first five rounds of the draft since 2016, the most of any Texas school.
The San Antonio, Texas, native arrived in Aggieland after his most recent post with the St. Louis Rams of the National Football League where he served as assistant strength and conditioning coach/nutrition consultant.
In his most recent position at the collegiate level, McMillan worked from 2007 to the summer of 2011 as strength and conditioning coach at Texas State where he served with the baseball, soccer, women’s basketball, golf and women’s tennis programs.
During his time at Texas State, McMillan played an important role with Bobcat baseball as the program captured three consecutive Southland Conference regular season championships and an SLC Tournament title while advancing to the NCAA Tournament on two occasions.
McMillan also spent time at the University of New Mexico where he served as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach working with the Lobo baseball, football, swimming and diving, track (sprinters and jumpers), women’s golf and Alpine/Nordic skiing teams.
Prior to New Mexico, McMillan served as a student assistant at Texas Tech University for a period of three years while working on his undergraduate degree. While at Texas Tech, McMillan worked with baseball, softball, basketball, soccer, volleyball, and the women’s tennis programs.
A member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association, McMillan is CPR certified as well as being first aid certified through the American Red Cross. He is a graduate of Texas Tech, where he received his bachelor’s degree in exercise and sports science in August of 2006.
McMillan is married to Jackie Barrett (Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 2010) and they have a daughter, Ellie, and a son, Callen.

Joseph Potts founded TopSpeed Strength & Conditioning where he oversees programing and training for athletes in multiple sports, ranging from high school to the professional level. His coaching resume includes many notable names throughout professional sports, including multiple first round picks, Team USA athletes, Super Bowl winners and World Series champions. Coach Potts's methods have been featured by media outlets such as Rivals.com, 247Sports, USA Today, Stack Magazine, ESPN, and on NFL Network.
Prior to opening the first TopSpeed location he was the Assistant Strength Coach in charge of speed development for the Kansas City Royals. Before then he was conducting NIH-funded research at the University of Kansas where he also played football. He holds the CES from the National Academy of Sports Medicine and the NSCA's RSCC certification due to his years of service in professional sports.

He previously served as the Director of Athletic Performance at California State University, Northridge in Los Angeles, California, where he oversaw the strength and conditioning programs for all 19 NCAA Division I teams. Kyle was also the High Performance Coordinator at Driveline Baseball, responsible for the integration between pitching and strength and conditioning. Kyle is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA as well as a Pre-Script Level 1 Coach.

Blaine Kinsley
Blaine Kinsley is in his 5th season as the Director of Strength and Conditioning for the University of Arkansas Baseball team. Kinsley has worked for two professional organizations including the Cubs and Cardinals in his past. From 2012-2016 Kinsley was at East Carolina University where he assisted with football and oversaw baseball and men’s tennis. Prior to East Carolina, Kinsley worked for Hendrick Motorsports with the role of Strength and Conditioning for Pit Crews. Kinsley is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, having earned CSCS and RSCC certifications with distinction from the organization. He also serves on the NSCA state advisory board for Arkansas and the NSCA national baseball special interest group. Kinsley also has his master’s degree in physical education from Arkansas and is pursuing his PhD in health, human performance and recreation at the University of Arkansas.

Franzblau is currently in his 16th year at Clemson, moving into an assistant athletic director role in 2021. He oversees the sports science and strength and conditioning efforts for all of the Olympic sports at Clemson. He works directly with the Clemson Baseball team as well; he is in his seventh year leading their strength and conditioning efforts. He has coached a national player of the year in baseball, men’ soccer, track and field and men’s golf. In his time with baseball, soccer and track field he has worked with 16 ACC championship teams collectively. He has coached 4 Olympic medalists in track and field, over a dozen MLS draft picks, and dozens of mlb and nfl drafts picks in his time at Clemson.

He has developed the Elite Baseball Program and has had over 50 athletes drafted in baseball, including 7 first rounders, multiple MLB All-Stars, a Silver Slugger and a Gold Glove winner.

Throughout his career he’s worked with both male and female athletes from a wide array of sports, ranging from middle and high school, to collegiate and professional.
